Mike and I are geniuses!
I know what some of you might be thinking.....They chose to have 4 kids, that's not very smart. But alas, you don't know what you're missing - in our crazy, never a dull moment, never quiet, always something spilled, never clean (maybe for a few minutes), love filled house - you get to miss out on your super sleuthing, eyes in the back of your head, super sonic ears, go-go Mr. Gadget arms and legs.
We have discovered that we know why our children go through temper tantrums. The 3 older kids have secret meetings. (Reagan will be forced to initiation when they feel she is old enough.) These secret meetings are held when our Mommy and Daddy super powers are on the fritz. Not sure when that is but it's obvious that there is a faulty connection somewhere. These secret meetings are held to determine who's turn it is to turn on the bad.
Some days Anna is possessed by the bad girl who's voice must be heard down the block everytime she speaks. Some days Ian is possessed by the bad boy who's ears don't work. Some days Kara is possessed by the bad girl who's temper tantrums outlast them all for minimum of 45 minutes.
It's amazing that Mike and I still have natural hair that has not been blessed with a gray color, that we still have our voices, that we still have all our fingernails, toes and fingers because we felt that ripping one of those off would be more enjoyable than going through another fit throwing, scream fest performed by yours truly - Kara, Anna or Ian. Sometimes not all 3 do this at the same time however, on good days it could be all 3.
Now, don't translate any of the above that we don't love our children. On the contrary. We love them with everything that we are. Not only have we learned a new kind of love that comes with the blessing of children ........ we have developed incredible super powers that some people may be jealous of:)
