Mud puddle!

2013

January
Well, it's a brand new year!  Another year that's gonna fly by.  You're gonna sneeze and all the sudden it's 2023 and Kara is graduating from high school.  Wait!  What?  Slow down, Robin.  Let's just start with January 2013:)
Mommy's yummy green smoothies!!

Moms and Dads, hide your sons - Pistol Anna is in town:)  (Pay no attention to Ian who obviously wasn't ready to be a sidekick.)
The kids working on their science experiments.  A big thank you to Auntie Rhea and Uncle Eric!  They loved these!!!
This particular experiment was static electricity.  So the girls rubbed the balloon on their head and slowly pushed the balloon towards a running stream of water.  The electricity pushes the water away.

Silly Reagan pics.  Love this girl!!!

 February
Sledding!  Love this house and that are driveway is an instant sledding hill!  Bombing snow on a sunday afternoon.  Life is good!!!

 Snow snack break:)
 Caught you!:)
Drum roll, please........And the results from P90X.........
Mike - starting weight 190.4 ending weight 184.6

Day 30

Day 60
Day 90!!!
Robin - starting weight 129.4 ending weight 128.4
 Day 1
Day 30
Day 60
 Day 90!!!
We didn't plan on changing our diet while we started P90X.  We figured working out an hour and a half every day for 90 days was a good start.  But eventually we started eating better anyways because the two usually go hand in hand.  Day 90 was our first day in Mexico.  Thank you to my parents who watched our wonderfully well-behaved children.
Our view from our room.  When we got there we were pleasantly surprised with a free upgrade to the honeymoon suite!!  Heck yeah!!!  What a great start to our already wonderful vacation!
Chillin with a beverage on the only cloudy evening.
Ditto!
The infamous beer and toes in the sand:)
 Our last day:(
Kids doing P90X (fifer scissors):)
Ian taking apart his monster truck.
She is in this phase right now where any material similar to bathing suits is called a "mimi" and she wears it on her head.  Cracks me up!

March

We took a trip to Louisiana to visit Mike's youngest brother.  We had not been down there since Thanksgiving 2007.  Too long. But we had a great time and the kids did great traveling.

Helping Uncle Dirt mow.

We went to the zoo!  For being such a small zoo, it was still way cool!
Best wagon ever.
 Never seen black swans before.....
 Attack of the kangaroos!!

 White tiger!
 America!
After seeing these turtles lined up for what seemed like a turtle parade, we couldn't stop singing "Five little speckled frogs" but made to be about turtles:)
 This was above our heads!
 Nap time
 Choo choo
Her infamous saying the whole trip "Mere".  Reagan translation - Come here!
 Quiet Ian moment.
 Love this girl!!
 Oh my!
These horses were Dirt's neighbors.  Reagan got the biggest kick out of them and so began her constant shout out to horses everywhere.  Anytime we see horses, she screams "HORSES!"
 A day at the beach.
Uncle Dirt helping build a sand castle.  Well, it started out as a sand castle and ended up being what the kids called a hot tub.
His poor swim trunks wouldn't stay up:)
First crawfish boil:)

 Neighbors pool!
 Love this girl too:)
 Playing!  (This is his house)
Last day:(  Thanks for a great trip, Uncle Dirt!!
Kara's 8th birthday!!
First scheduled birthday party......bombed snow so we re-scheduled.  2nd scheduled birthday party........bombed snow.  But we had it anyway:)  She was born in a snow storm so it is inevitable that there will be a few parties that have snow.

Kara has been taking piano lessons for about 5 months and so we got her a small piano.  We aren't ready to invest on a bigger one until she's completely committed:)  She loves playing piano and is doing very well.  Her teacher is amazing!!

Dance party to the tune of Daddy's guitar:)
Is this chocolate or poop?  Just kidding, it's chocolate of course:)
Obviously a family business.  Helping the owner with J-hooks.  Wait Reagan, are we getting paid for this?
Mike spinning Scooter around.  The little things that make him laugh:)

April
We took the kids to the tubing hill at Copper Mountain.  I'm terrified of going fast.  I can't do roller coasters, can't cliff dive (obviously from a couple summers ago) and I don't particularly care for sledding.  But I refuse to allow my kids to grow up with my fears.  So I sucked it up and didn't express or show my crazy, silly fears.
Teeth clenched, muscles tight, held my breath....here we go!!!!!!!!!
AAAAAAHHHHHHH

The moving carpet ride back up to the top
There were 4 lanes.  Lane one being the slowest, etc.  We went down the 1st lane to please mommy and then the kids went down the faster lanes with daddy.  They loved the faster lanes!!  On our last run they wanted to take me down lane 3.  But we compromised and went down lane 2.  Holy sh*#.  That was too fast for me!  Lol.  Not only that but at one point going down Anna slid up the side and almost fell out of her tube.  It scared the holy poo out of me and all she did was laugh hysterically!!
A great day!!!
Anna's 1st grade music performance.  Her speaking solo.

Reagan's 2nd birthday!
Love this picture because all the girls are interested in her opening presents and the boys are playing with monster trucks:)
We are so excited to announce the additions to the Wisniewski household......
We got 10 chickens!!!

This is their first living quarters.
Then we upgraded and built this coop.
Just in case you can't read this....The kids labeled this coop as "The Really Cute Chicken Coop".

 More chicken pics to come.....

May
Well, unfortunately there wasn't a lot of pictures taken this month:(

Here is the girls' field day at school.
Anna in line for her race:) (Pink hat, purple leggings, pink and white jacket)

 Finish line!
Kara in line for hers (in the black - far left)
 3rd place so far

 She gives up:(

Ian's 5th birthday!!!  We celebrated at a rec center pool and had a great time with friends and family!
(I forgot the camera so there are only a few.)

RRRROOOAAARRR.  Giant Ian-asauras is eating a smaller dinosaur!

 June
Well, another month has come and gone.  Camping, playing, family and friends!
June started off with our trip to see our NY family.  It was a very fast week but we had such a great time seeing all our family!

This is a place called Rock City.  The place was really cool!  Lots of crawling and climbing and my stomach turning with uneasiness because of how fearless kids are:)

Look what I found mom!  A worm!
Now I get to show grandma:)
We went to Darien Lake which is just like a Six Flags.  I don't do roller coasters or any ride that consists of your internal organs dropping to your toes just to have them rise up to brain and repeat.  However, my husband loves it.  So I'm very thankful that he takes the kids to do these heart failure rides so as not to allow my fear to be passed onto them.  And I'm doubley thankful that my kids weren't scared.  Kara said it was the best time of her life!!

Third row down - Anna, Grandpa Wiz, Ian, Aiden, Danielle
Fourth row with their backs to the camera - Mike, Paul, Grandma Wiz, Kara

We went to a fish hatchery.  The kids got a total kick out of all the fish jumping when they threw the food in.

Visiting Great Grandma Wisniewski.  She fell and broke her hip the week before our visit.
The surgery went well and she is at home now and doing fine:)

Here is some fun in Lake Erie

Snuggling in the morning:)
Pay no attention to the evidence:)
Camping!!!

Love this picture!  The dirt, the snot, the love!!
My girl rocking Ian's cowboy boots:)
Now, at first I said absolutely not to playing in the big mud puddle.  But I tried to remember what it's like to be a kid and said whatever.  Let them get muddy!

July
Mike took Anna and Ian on one of his rock crawling adventures.  They went to Red Cone Pass (as obvious by the sign).  The kids (and Mike) had a blast!
 Beautiful views!

 The group
 A little water:)

Mt Rushmore!  Here we come!

This was a wonderful trip!  We went with my parents, Grandma Nancy (Jay's mom) and the Fiedler Family.  Would do the whole thing again!
Traded kids for part of the trip.  It certainly minimizes sibling rivalry:)

Group photo!

The Reptile Gardens was super cool!  The kids loved it!  This is the snake show.
This guy was telling Ian to be nicer to the enormous turtle:)

Not only is this guy a snake charmer, he also schmoozes up with gators!
Playing with a baby gator.
 This is Ian's silly face.
Banana boats!!!  For those of you who have not had the delicious pleasure of tasting banana boats camping - you must try!!

4th of July in Buena Vista!
Waiting for the parade
Where's my candy?

Anna and I won the three legged race:)

 Fire truck ride!
 Homemade ice cream with Poppie
This was a successful summer because all 3 kids learned how to ride a bike!  And Reagan is just a rockstar on her tricyle:)  Here is Anna's first ride.
 Ian's first ride

August
What a fantastic month it was!!!

We were very blessed with a trip to St. John to celebrate 10 years of marriage!  (Where did the time go?)  Thank you, thank you, thank you to Mom & Dad for watching our well-behaved children, our chickens, Scooter, playing Robin's role of taxi cab and taking the kids to do some fun things while we were gone!

There is no particular order to these other than how fast/slow they downloaded:)  On the airplane!  Here we come warm sandy beaches, relaxation, uninterrupted sleep, no schedules and cold adult beverages!

These deer don't got nothing on our mountain deer.  Besides, who's ever heard of deer on a beach?

First class!  Frosty beverages and warm nuts!!  (They give you warm nuts?  What?!  They were fantastic!)

 My beautiful mommy!

Iguanas!  Arrrgggg!

Dinner out.  (Mom's hiding a little)

This was her typical stance.  Lounging in the shade:)

Beer:30 :)

Donkeys!!!  You are not supposed to feed them but our neighbors thought it would be cool so the donkeys thought we would feed them too.  Wrong.  I'm glad they didn't climb up the steps.

Spa day!

Love this man!

 Anniversary night!

Random picture:)  A day at the zoo with our good friends!
Paige, Kara, Sylvia, Anna, Everett, Ian and Reagan in the far right corner.

Bella (one of Mike's parents dogs)
They brought them with them for their visit.
 Bailey (their other dog)
Reagan's favorite (and Bailey's) thing to do is throw the Frisbee to her.  They both could do it all day:)
My in-laws took them to Dinosaur Ridge.

 Grandma's temporary taxi service:)
 Crafts with Grandma!
 Bailey watching our chickens:)

September

Had a few camping trips this month:)  One up by Grand Lake.  Lots of atv-ing and fun!  And our annual camping trip that is usually by Two Buttes Colorado but with all the rain we had this month we moved it to John Martin Reservoir.
This is at John Martin - blue heron and a pelican

Mommy prepping banana boats.  An all time camping favorite - next two smores:)
Learning yahtzee:)
This is by Grand Lake.  Playing in the mud.
 This is her cheese face

 Riding in daddy's truck:)

We went on a hike and this butterfly was on my mom's hand for a good 10-15 minutes.  They just kept landing on her!  They would land on her shirt and hat:)
This was a 10 minute hail storm.  I heard lightning and then not 2 seconds later it just starts dumping!  It was so loud.
 Daddy's shades:)

October
I played with this doll, blankets and pillow at my grandma's when I was little and I know my mom played with it when she was little too.

Kara won a Citizenship award!!  You earn it by turning in all homework on time, being a good student, less than 3 absences and a few other things:)
Anna's 7th birthday!  She wanted to have a pajama party:)

I think the adults liked that pajama idea the most:)
Such a good helper!
Reagan and I went to Ian's school for the Halloween party.  This is the parade thru the school's playground.

Ian is in taekwondo and loving it!!
Piggy back rides with Ian's friend Pierce while we were waiting in line for a pumpkin patch:)
Halloween!!

November
Playing at the park:)

My sweet little man:)

Blackmail picture with her "mimi" (aka bathing suit)
Sledding in our yard.

This is one of my favorite sweaters and all 3 of my girls have worn it.
Reagan
Kara (Thanksgiving 2008)  I can't find one of Anna yet but I'm sure I've got one and I will post when I find it:)
The Morrows visiting over Thanksgiving.  Kara is such a great cousin - feeding baby Kailey:)

Even Kailey made a funny face:)
Great minds think alike - all of us wore black and grey.  Love these ladies!

December
One of my favorite times of year!!!  My mom, my sister and I and our annual cookie baking weekend.
I dearly love this beautiful woman!!
Grandma's apron because she is always with us in spirit.  One of her favorite jobs was peeling all the wrappers off kisses.
Boxey Red Guy (our elf on the shelf)

 All hands on deck!

Ta da!!!
The benefits of having a winch:)  My truck died in the middle of our driveway so we used the winch on the Jeep (far left corner where Mike is standing) and winched it out of the way.
 Dance party!!!
 Presents!!!!

They were up so early that we told them they had to do pushups in order to open their presents:)  Yes, we are mean parents.  Lol.

 Jenga!!!
I had some mommies and kiddos over for a Christmas ornament making and cookie decorating get together.  It was loads of fun.  And the best homemade hot white chocolate - coffee - and Bailey's vanilla cinnamon ever for the mommies.

Here are some of Boxey Red Guys shenanigans from around Thanksgiving to Christmas.
