Back up

Another month has come and gone.  Summer has left us and we are left with the beginning of the changing of the leaves.  We've already had a few mornings of frost.  The cooler weather always gets me excited about fall baking and preping meals for the winter.

My sister's wedding went very well.  No big mishaps with the exception of 16 of us getting locked in an elevator for 45 minutes (ok, so maybe it was 15 minutes but alcohol was not an influence no matter what anyone tells you.)  I was freaked out.  I'm not claustrophobic but it wasn't a pleasant experience for me.  The friendly fire department saved us by prying open the elevators doors between mid floors and we had to jump out.  I hope to never have a repeat of that:)

The kids started school.  I was a little nervous leaving our montessori school that we've been in the last 4 years to a public school.  But since we are in a small mountain town we were excited to begin a new adventure in our kids' education.  Kara is in 2nd grade and was terrified of starting a new school.  Anna was a little nervous but not as bad as Kara.  The bus picks them up just down the street from us.  Ian is going to a montessori school in Conifer, which is only 20 minutes from our house.  That montessori is only pre-school to kindergarten.  So Reagan and Ian will go there until they are ready to start 1st grade.  Reagan can go there when she is 2 1/2.
